Instrument picture

Measurements of gas-phase air pollutants are conducting in the framework of ACTRIS campaign in Athens.

Air quality monitoring includes measurements of

  1. ozone (O3) by UV-absorption at 253.7 nm wavelength,

  2. (ii) nitrogen oxides (NO and NO2) by chemiluminescence method in the 600-3000 nm wavelength region, and

  3. (iii) carbon monoxide (CO) by IR-absorption at 4.67 μm wavelength,

using HORIBA air pollution monitoring systems (AP-360 series).

Also, an Eberline FH 62 I-R Beta-attenuation analyzer (Kr-85 noble gas, with maximum energy 0.67 MeV) is conducting measurements of the PM-10 fraction of particulate matter, using a quartz filter-tape.
